Ashtanga Yoga - A vigorous system of yoga that focuses on synchronizing the breath to yoga postures. The body moves to the sound of the breath and the mind becomes very still. It is a healing process of cleansing and toning the body, mind and senses.
Candlelight Yin Yoga - Unwind from your week with this one hour deep stretch class. The yin poses are held for several minutes to allow stretching of the connective tissues of the spine, hips & pelvis. The focus will also be breath work for deep relaxation in each pose.
Intro to Yoga - A class designed for the absolute beginner. Proper breathing technique and body alignment are the main focus here.
IronCore - Finally a class designed to target & strengthen your "power house" - all the muscles surrounding the spine. This 45 minute class will start with a warmup of joint mobility & spine excercises followed by muscular work of the abs, back, legs & butt. The muscular work will be a challenging mixture of using your own body weight & props such as foam rollers & pilates circles, and stretching will be infused with the strength work. Lots of variations and modifications will be presented to make this both challenging for the expert and attainable for the beginner.
PeeWee Yoga/Pilates - This popular mom & baby 4 week series will target core muscles as well as stretch out tight areas using pilates & yoga props. We will incorporate baby as well. **Pre-registration required
Pre-natal Yoga - This 6 week Hatha style series is designed for the " mother to be" and is suitable during all stages of pregnancy. **Pre-registration required
Yin Yoga - Yin yoga is a slower, deep stretch practice targeting the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis & lower spine. Yin postures are held 3 - 5 - 10 minutes in length allowing you to explore new depths of postures, deeper ranges of motion and an increased flow of energy within the body. Yin yoga compliments the more muscular styles of yoga & training that we do and is a necessary practice for living a more balanced life. This series is perfect for tight bodies! Yin Yoga & Meditation - This class will focus on deep stretching, deep relaxation and meditation throughout.
Yoga For Runners & Cyclists - designed for the runner or cyclist who wants to improve their flexibility, breathing, core strength and mental focus.
